About Francine

After believing the narrative that I wasn’t creative for many years, I started making art as a way to decorate my own home in a meaningful way. I fell in love with watercolor and hand lettering, and it brings me joy to share that.

Although I’ve lived in the Midwest for years, I grew up in upstate New York, and the landscapes there are a big influence on my work.

I work out of my home studio in northwest Iowa, where I live with my husband and five kids. When I’m not painting, I can usually be found chauffeuring my kids to soccer practice, drinking coffee, dreaming of places to travel, watching The Office, or curled up with a book.
